the back judge was standing there looking right at that play but didn't call what should be an obvious holding penalty.

That’s reminds me of some instances of Rick Barnes Clemson teams vs Dean Smith UNC teams back in the 90’s. Replace Breese with Harold Jamison and it’s a no call in both situations

Almost ripping his head off, so an ACC ref not holding, but to us non officials it is blatant holding. Guess that disqualifies me to be an ACC official.

I think SO!!
Just go look at the play at FSU where Bresee almost sacked the FSU QB in the end zone. (I'm guessing about 3:30 left in the game.) The FSU OL man was holding Bresee's right arm. And he was holding Bresee's arm with 2 hands, as Bresee was chasing the FSU QB. The ref was about 5 yards away and looking dead at the chase the whole time. He could NOT have missed it. The holding lasted for a time that Bresee pulled the FSU OL man about 4 yards.
This holding was much worse than the holding called on CU OL that called back Cinco 5's 2nd running TD.
We were cheated! (again)

They would have to call holding every play when teams play Clemson.
